ITV Emmerdale character left to die after brutal attack as exit 'sealed'
by Olivia Wheeler · Manchester Evening NewsEmmerdale viewers were left in suspense on Friday night as a character was left lifeless following a savage assault.
In the most recent episode, Kim Tate, portrayed by Claire King, was taken aback to discover that a hooded individual had tried to nick her car.
Upon reviewing the security footage, Kim quickly identified the offender as Ross Barton, played by Michael Parr.
Seizing the opportunity, Kim presented Ross with a choice - to make her estranged husband, Will Taylor, portrayed by Dean Andrews, leave the village or she would inform the police. Kim clarified that she didn't want Will dead but urged Ross to 'do whatever it takes' to ensure he permanently departs the village amidst their acrimonious split.

Later in the programme, Ross executed the plan, donning a disguise and attempting to attack Will. However, Will feigned unconsciousness before defending himself against Ross, unveiling his identity, reports Leeds Live.
As the two men engaged in a brawl, Ross shoved Will away, causing him to fall and violently hit his head on a rock. The episode concluded with Will motionless in a pool of blood while a shocked Ross looked on.
It is yet to be determined if Will will survive the assault, but could this signal an exit for the character after five years on the popular ITV soap?
Will has experienced a tumultuous few months due to the collapse of his marriage with Kim. As viewers may remember, earlier this year Will was unfaithful to Kim with his former partner Rose, played by Christine Tremarco.

Will was subsequently blackmailed by an unknown individual, who turned out to be none other than Kim - as she was privy to everything. The duo then engaged in brutal exchanges as they each attempted to gain the upper hand.
Earlier this week, Kim proposed to give Will £100,000 to exit her life as swiftly as possible. However, after discovering his daughter, Dawn Fletcher's, portrayed by Olivia Bromley, issues with Billy Fletcher, played by Jay Kontzle, Will assured her that she would never have to stress about finances again, maintaining his resilience in his conflict with Kim until Friday night.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
