ITV Emmerdale favourite 'returns from the dead' as Moira Dingle undergoes brain surgery

In the latest special episode of the ITV soap, now available for streaming on ITVX, viewers follow Moira Dingle (played by Natalie J Robb) as she faces brain surgery.
Meanwhile, Cain Dingle (portrayed by Jeff Hordley) is seen battling his emotions, turning to alcohol and making errors as he copes with the stress of the day.
During the operation, Moira experiences a dream where she sees her sons at Butler's Farm and is then greeted by the unexpected sight of her daughter Holly.

Fans of Emmerdale will remember that Holly tragically died in late 2016 due to a drug overdose, reports Leeds Live.
Sophie Powles' character, Holly, had struggled with addiction for a long time and her death in 2016 came just six months after she returned to the show.
In the poignant dream sequence, an emotional Moira encounters her 'beautiful daughter' again, while surgeons in the background speak of complications during the surgery.

Holly expresses regret for her death, saying she "messed up", while Moira tries to comfort her, affirming her love.
Moira attempts to leave to check on her boys, leading to a heart-wrenching moment as Holly releases her hand, causing Moira to become frantic.
Holly's parting words to her mother are "You were always the best mum", before she fades away.
Sophie was brought back specifically to film these touching scenes where Holly visits Moira in a dream amidst her critical surgery.
