I'm a whisky expert - this £25 bottle is the best Black Friday deal I've found

Amazon shoppers are flocking to buy a 'superb whiskey' that is 47% off in an Amazon Black Friday deal. Talisker Skye Single Malt Scotch Whisky would typically cost £48 for a bottle, but is now down to £25.50.

Skye is the brand's fresher, brighter cousin to their popular Talisker 10 Year Old. It has a fresh citrus flavour and underlying sweetness, but has been matured in a combination of refill and toasted American oak casks for depth of flavour and a smoky touch.

This is a whisky best served neat or on the rocks and is raved about for its great value for money - even more so now that it is almost 50% off.

It's brought in an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 from across 7,046 global ratings. One shopper said: "This is a superb whiskey very distinctive taste perfect example of an Islay malt. What a great price well worth the money."

A second penned: "A Smokey whiskey with a strong, earthy peat flavour. It drinks best with a little water and ice but you could mix it if you really wanted to."

A third wrote: "The aromas are amazing!! Smoky, peaty with a little bit of fruitiness. Warming on the palate although a little tougher or harsh than say a Jura, but overall a really nice whisky."

A fourth added: "I absolutely love Talisker 10 so much so that I ask my wife to hide it as my once a week treat, and boy do I look forward to it. I love the sweetness and richness of it along with the texture it's just wonderful. I personally don't get much smoke on the palate, on the nose yes. It is said to be quite a smoky whisky which is the cause of some complaints. One shopper said: "The smokiness is just too much. Dominates anything that you have with it and unpleasant to drink on it's own."
