Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon's candid baby admission before fans' quip over boyfriend snap

Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has shared a candid admission about becoming a mum of two as she prepares to welcome her second child into the world.

The actress will soon be a doting mum to her son Sonny Jude and a baby girl after she and her boyfriend Ryan Ledson revealed their pregnancy news over the summer. Lucy, who is famed for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, revealed she was pregnant with baby number two in an adorable video announcement with her footballer beau in August.

She and Ryan then later shared their delight as they confirmed they were expecting a baby girl to join them and their first child, one-year-old son Sonny.

But as her due date gets closer, it appears Lucy has been thinking about the reality of having two children. Sharing a photo from Sonny's first Easter when he was a baby, in which she could be seen looking at something in surprise, she wrote on her Instagram Story: "Can't believe that I will be responsible for 2 of these. 2023 me can't believe it either."

It came before Lucy shared a string of snaps she'd captured lately with her followers. It gave a glimpse inside her and footballer Ryan's recent trip to Paris with the pair smiling as they posed for a selfie by the Eiffel Tower.

The soap star also shared pictures of her dressing up for her recent 29th birthday celebrations in a gorgeous glittering outfit as well as showcasing her blossoming baby bump. A video, meanwhile, showed her decorating biscuits with Sonny in which he adorably displayed his manners when he asked his mum to open the sprinkles for him to use.

Captioning the post, Lucy wrote: "Gurrrrd times," with a smiling face surrounded by hearts emoji. But it appears some couldn't help but make the same quick in reference to Lucy's native Blackpool.

It comes after Lucy, ahead of celebrating the birth of her baby girl, she had her own celebrations to attend - her birthday. The soap star took to social media with a gorgeous snap of herself posing outside last week.

In the picture, Lucy held her hand on her blossoming baby bump as she sported a sparkly outfit which boasted a slight off-the-shoulder top and long flowing skirt while she accessorised with her own personalised clutch bag.

Captioning the post, the mum-of-two-to-be wrote: "Spiritually enlightened at 29," and the compliments and birthday wishes quickly came flooding in. Corrie co-star Tanisha Gorey said: "She be glowing." Julia Goulding replied: "Happy Birthday sweetheart." Helen Flanagan posted: "Happy birthday beautiful." Kimberley Hart-Simpson commented: "Happy bday to you." Emmerdale star Laura Norton added: "Golden girl."
