Strictly Come Dancing fans said it 'felt right' as they spotted a familiar face in the audience. Week 10 of the BBC One dance contest took place on Saturday night (November 23).

As the competition's end nears ever closer, the seven remaining couples were hoping to impress off the back of last weekend's special which saw the show's stars and crew head to Blackpool and broadcast live from the world-famous Tower Ballroom.

And it couldn't have got any better for Love Island star Tasha Ghouri as she was awarded the first perfect score of 40 of the series for her elegant American Smooth with her partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

Donning a flowing silver gown with a sparkly bodice, the 26-year-old delivered a series of high lifts and dips to Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi for the performance.

Head judge Shirley Ballas praised it as the “Rolls-Royce” of the American Smooth, while Craig Revel Horwood described it as “fab-u-lous”. Motsi Mabuse hailed it as “perfection” and said Ghouri had brought the poignant song to life. Anton Du Beke, who got emotional during the performance, added that this is why dancers perform because of “how it makes us feel”.

Hot on their heels was JLS star JB Gill who secured a near-perfect score on Strictly after delivering a series of dramatic lifts with his professional partner Lauren Oakley. The singer was awarded 39 points out of 40 for his lively Charleston to Yes Sir! That’s My Baby by Firehouse Five Plus Two on Saturday night.

Dressed in white trousers, a striped shirt and braces, the pop star flipped Oakley upside down and in a cartwheel spin as well as showing off his quick footwork during his week 10 routine.

Craig Revel Horwood praised the routine as “pure class”, while Motsi Mabuse said Gill has loosened up to now have the “right swag”. Head judge Shirley Ballas also thanked Gill for bringing “so much joy” to the dancefloor as she described his performance as “amazing”.

And it was Lauren's former celebrity partner, from the 2023 series, Krishnan Guru-Murthy who got viewers talking as he was spotted in the audience on the night the Dance-A-Thon returned for the first time in six years.

Having performed their planned routines, the remaining Strictly couples returned to the ballroom floor together to impress the judges with their best Samba moves in this series Samba-Thon. And fans thought it was right Krishnan was there as they remembered his entertaining Samba with Lauren from last year.
