Mark Wright shows off head injury as he reveals accident before Michelle Keegan reunion for Christmas

by · Manchester Evening News

Mark Wright has revealed he picked up a head injury while in Las Vegas as she headed home to reunite with his wife Michelle Keegan. The presenter was in the American city for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024.

It saw Red Bull driver Max Verstappen securing this year's world title. He was crowned F1 World Champion for the fourth time as the Dutchman finished above title rival Lando Norris.

Following the end of the event, Mark was quick to head back home to the UK, where he lives in a huge mansion in Essex with actress wife Michelle. His trip to Vegas came quickly after he headed to Abu Dhabi with singer pal Olly Murs as they worked with Mark's station Heart Radio.

But back to Vegas and as he headed home, former TOWIE star Mark filmed himself on a plane as he addressed the end of his trip and revealed exactly what had happened after fans had messaged him concerned about the large scar across the top of his forehead.

Sitting in a hoodie as he got comfortable on his flight, the 37-year-old said: "Another year done. F1 in Vegas, what an experience! I'm coming home with a little scar..."

"For those that are asking on my Instagram, I fell in the bathroom," he then revealed as he said he needed a few stitches, but insisted that he “wasn’t drunk” when it happened. "it was the middle of the night, was half asleep. Needed a few stitches but I'm all good, absolutely fine and on my way home to see the wife..."

It comes after Mark and Michelle one again stunned their online following with a glimpse at their Essex mansion. The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, bought the mock Tudor style house for a reported £3.5 million back in October 2019. Then, over nearly four years, they oversaw the knocking down of the existing property to build their very own luxury Georgian-style mansion.

While the build has been complete for over a year, Michelle and Mark still offer updates on their joint social media page and just like this time last year, their festive offering has sent fans wild.

They took to social media to unveil their iconic Christmas decorations at their huge pad, and it's been compared to the Home Alone house for the second year in a row. Pulling out all the stops, the former TOWIE star Mark and former Coronation Street actress Michelle, both 37, have completely transformed their lavish property into their own festive dream.

The video of the sprawling property shows fairy lights fitted around each window, plus the length of the roof as well as a huge light-up wreath sits pride of place above a large window at the centre of the property. There are also three Christmas trees are above the front door which is fitted with a wintery garland, complete with oversized baubles and more fairy lights.

Getting a glimpse inside, fans could see a huge Christmas tree adorned with more baubles, lights and stars, while decorative presents sit underneath while at the bottom of their spiral staircase are giant red and silver baubles on one side and on the other, two giant stars. Their bannister is also fitted with a garland boasting baubles, bows, and lights.
