ITV I'm A Celebrity fans warn Dean McCullough 'don't you dare' amid 'unpopular' defence

Dean McCullough has been warned by I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here fans while some found themselves jumping to his defence over 'double standards' in camp.

The BBC Radio 1 star has been dividing viewers with some of his camp antics having headed Down Under to take part in the hit ITV reality show earlier this month.

But it was during the latest instalment of jungle action on Wednesday night (November 27) that even the camp started to slightly turn on Dean. I'm A Celeb viewers saw Melvin Odoom continue with his water duties and Dean was nowhere to be seen. As Melvin told his fellow campmates: "This is a lone man situation, he’s very good at disappearing."

When tasked with carrying one pot of water back to camp, he told his fellow campmates: "That is no joke, the pot is so heavy." As he said: “I hate doing the water guys I’ve said it, I’m just gonna have to hold my hands up, it’s an awful job and I hate it, and I don’t wanna do it anymore. Guys I can’t, it’s not for me!"

As he continued, Danny Hones, the camp leader, said to Dean: "Just get on with it mate." As Melvin encouraged Dean to carry on fetching water with him, and the camp told him to adopt a positive attitude, Dean said: "Look, no beef, no drama, I just hate my job!"

Melvin joked: “Listen, your new name is Houdini because you like to disappear!” The camp descended into laughter as Oti exclaimed: “Shots fired!” while Dean was left too shocked to speak.

But some I'm A Celeb fans actually defended him as they pointed out he hasn't been the only one moaning about his chores as Loose Women star Jane wasn't happy about being put on washing-up duty.

@lyndyloo30 said: "Jane is ‘playing’ the other celebs, do your job and wash the damn dishes where you’re supposed to!!" @rhi20x commented: "Dean still avoiding his chores and being dramatic and rude af, Jane still complaining about washing up and not doing it so coleen ended up doing some of it near the end bc the pots were left out over night. @FxckBethaanyy posted: "Although, Jane moaning at Dean for moaning about his chores when she was almost crying over washing up is the most hypocritical thing ever #ImACeleb." @LowraMaria added: "I agree about Dean but why is no one mentioning Jane not doing the washing up where it should be done, leaving it out so they get rats, and being lazy on the trial. Both as bad as each other #imaceleb."

Meanwhile, others warned him not to be mean to Oti Mabuse after she and her fellow campates called him out for slacking on his assigned chore. @BeekyLorna said: "Dean, don’t you dare talk back to Queen Oti #imaceleb@ProjecktBB commented: "Dean dont dareee snap at Oti… #ImACeleb." @Coopernator wrote: "Nah not Dean coming for Oti as well #ImACeleb." @GothicR23062886 added: "Dean going off on oti #ImACeleb."
