Coronation Street fans say Carla Connor's 'at it again' as they say 'she's wasted' after brain surgery

Coronation Street fans have said Carla Connor is 'wasted' in Weatherfield as they spotted she was 'at it again' despite recovering from brain surgery.

The Underworld boss was left fighting for her life earlier this week after being attacked during a robbery at the factory. Earlier this week, Betsy Swain was seen trying to help pal Mason Radcliffe by getting his brothers, Matty and Logan, off his back as they start to spread their terrorisation across the street.

She told Mason that his troublesome brothers were no longer a concern due to a deal she had made with them. It was later revealed that Betsy had set it up so that the brothers could burgle the knicker factory in exchange for leaving Mason alone.

Betsy got her moment to execute her plan as a bonding day took place for the factory workers, meaning the workplace was empty - or that was until Carla returned.

Carla was hit over the head during the break-in at the factory and the brothers did a flit when she began to stir. A dazed Carla did awake and managed to speak to the police about the robbery. The situation worsened for Betsy when Logan and Matty confronted Betsy, threatening that if they get caught, they will implicate her too.

But for Carla, as she tried to fix the mess in the factory, she sadly she collapsed towards the end of the episode, and was found unconscious by Betsy who phone for an ambulance. As Carla was rushed to hospital, Betsy confided in her mother, DS Swain, about about them both leading them to dash to her side. There, they discovered the worrying news from Ryan Connor that Carla had suffered a brain haemorrhage and needed immediate surgery.

During Wednesday night's (November 27) episode of Corrie, viewers saw Lisa spending the night by Carla's bedside willing her to wake up following her emergency operation. But within the blink of an eye, Carla seemingly appeared on the mend, even managing to have a joke with Roy Cropper about her feelings for Lisa.

Later, Carla was seen being paid a visit by Betsy and having had time to think; she had already worked out the teen was behind the assault, having been the one who found her and handled keys to the factory. She later prepared to tell Lisa the truth, only to change her mind when the detective sergeant offloaded about a possible new line of enquiry in her late partner's death in the line of duty.

But in the meantime, Corrie fans were distracted by Carla's crime-solving after she also recently pointed the police in the direction of Lauren Bolton before it was revealed she had, in fact, killed her evil groomer, Joel Deering.
