Ahead of his appearance in the jungle, Alan has been seen chatting in a video shared by I'm A Celeb's social media team. The caption of the post read: "Alan has done serious prep for his new Jungle diet, but can he stomach the reality? Join his Jungle adventure, Sunday at 9pm #ImACeleb."
Speaking in the clip, the soap star, famed for playing Alan Halsall for 26 years in Corrie, he started by revealing: "I'm vegetarian, have been my whole life. I have no idea why. The only explanation I've ever been given by my mum is that I'm just too lazy to chew meat." He laughed as he added: "I think she's on to something!"
He went on to speak about how he's best known and the reaction he gets from fans. "The reaction I get in the street is generally, 'How's Fiz? or 'How's Jack and Vera?' That was 15 years ago. I've done the same job for such a long time but I think this is going to be really different and hopefully push me outside of my comfort zone."
Alan then went on to share his prep for heading into the jungle, which quickly sparked concern, as he admitted to drinking more coffee and more Guinness because he's "going to be missing out for a few weeks". He added: "But I've bought some smaller clothes for when I get out, so that'll be fun!"

Alan's long-time Corrie co-star Samia Longchambon was among those to show her support as she shared the video of Alan to her Instagram story and said: "You're all gonna love @alanhalsall as much as we do! Can't wait for Sunday night."
It comes after Corrie's Claire Sweeney took to Instagram and shared the official photo of Alan in his jungle gear and said in view of her fans and followers: "Can’t wait to watch my boy in the jungle on Sunday. He’s funny, kind, witty and very smart he’s my winner! @imacelebrity @coronationstreet @alanhalsall @itv."
But Claire, who play's Alan's on-screen mum Cassie Plummer in Corrie, took to the comments of Coleen Rooney's personal update to issue a show of support as she will also be rooting for the 38-year-old. She said: "Good on you babes. You are gonna be brilliant." And Claire seemingly wants to set up an alliance between Alan and Coleen as she commented on another of Coleen's posts: "You are gonna love @alanhalsall he's brilliant xxxx."
