ITV I'm A Celebrity fans say 'he knows what he's doing' as they point out campmate's 'game plan'

I'm A Celebrity viewers think they've sussed out one campmate's 'game plan' as they say 'he knows what he's doing'. It has been five days now since 10 celebrities entered the jungle for this year's series of the much loved ITV show.

Amongst the stars currently in camp are social media influencer GK Barry, Loose Women's Jane Moore, Busted's Danny Jones and N-Dubz star Contostavlos. Tonight (November 21), viewers will see two new celebrities enter the camp - Love Island's Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles.

But ahead of the new arrivals, fans are complaining that one celebrity is 'playing up to the cameras' and 'loving the airtime'. Radio presenter Dean McCullough has been voted by the public to do the last three trials - including tonight's upcoming trial Lethal Lab.

In Dean's first trial earlier this week, he called out 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' to end the trial, walking away with just two stars. But in a joint trial last night alongside GK Barry named 'Drown in the Dumps', the pair won no stars at all - resulting in no meals for camp.

The duo were placed in water tanks which quickly filled up with snakes and eels, whilst Dean had to find keys and pass them down to Grace, who then had to dive down and unlock padlocks at the bottom to retrieve the stars.

Dean could be heard screaming repeatedly as water poured down on him at the start of the trial, before any critters had even entered - with Ant visibly 'losing his cool' at his poor attempt.

The hosts were urging the pair to 'hurry up' with Ant shouting 'get on with it' as they wasted time 'screaming at water' and not getting any stars in the first few minutes of the trial.

Later in the episode, Dean told a few of his fellow campmates that he has smuggled some tea bags into camp whilst asking if they wanted some.

Participants of the ITV show are banned from bringing 'luxuries' into camp each year such as makeup, pillows and condiments, as they are forced to survive on basic rations.

The rule break which has since been dubbed 'tea-gate' by fans has caused a stir amongst viewers, with many saying Dean is doing it for attention and aware he will eventually get caught. They also claim that his 'dramatic' performances in the trials are 'part of his plan' to keep being voted to do them to get more air time.

Taking to X to air their views, one fan @moniramonira said: "Dean knows how this show goes man, scream and shout at the trials and you get more screen time. Boo #ImACeleb."

@DessyArkle wrote: "Dean knows how this s**t works #ImACeleb," as @craggsy82 echoed: "Dean knows exactly what he's doing. #ImACeleb."

@pollopesto said: "Dean keeps yapping about his smuggled in tea bags as a publicity stunt. He’s a Big Brother stan, he knows all about what’s banned and what can be heard in these shows he just wants some drama! #ImACeleb."

@occfox wrote: "I like Dean… but he’s not been subtle about these tea bags at all which makes it look like he’s saying it on purpose to get a bit of airtime for breaking the rules #imaceleb."

@EggrollsByam also said: "Dean absolutely loving the air time for these challenges. Also knows exactly what he is doing with the tea bags. More attention for him. Yawn. #ImACeleb."
