BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Vito Coppola admits to 'really struggling' as he's asked 'the question'

Vito Coppola has admitted he was 'really struggling' to contain his excitement as he revealed details to Sarah Hadland about their next Strictly Come Dancing performance.

Last weekend, the pair took part in week ten of the BBC One dance contest which saw the seven remaining couples take to the floor with the hopes of pulling of a great performance and making it through to the quarter-final, which takes place live this Saturday night (November 30).

During the latest live show, actress Sarah and pro dancer Vito were second out and were seen serving up a sizzling rumba to Chains by Tina Arena.

Miranda star Sarah was twirled and dipped by reigning Strictly champion Vito before they secured a score of 36 points out of a possible 40, the highest score for a rumba in the series.

It was then later confirmed during the last results show on Sunday (November 24) that the pair had made it through to week 11 of Strictly's 2024 series and during the programme, it was revealed by Vito that they'll be performing to a song from Wicked, which has just been made into a blockbuster film.

It's since been revealed that Sarah, famed for her role as Stevie in Miranda Hart's comedy sitcom 'Miranda', and Vito will perform a Charleston to Popular from Wicked.

Now, Vito has reshared the video of the moment he excitedly shared the news to Sarah about their musicla choice for the last special of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series and said on Instagram: "I am soooooooo excited for this Musicals week that I was really struggling speaking and trying to contain myself while explaining to Trilly our next dance…

"Just one word: WICKED. So happy and trilled that we really cannot wait to dance it this weekend on @bbcstrictly. It’s Fun and Full on and hope you will enjoy it. @wickeduk @wickedmovie #teamtiramisu."

But it left fans with one main question about who will represent each character. @smeetooreally asked: "Is Vito going to be green" @cee_to_the_bee replied: "He will be Fiyero, I believe, amd won't he look dashing!" @pennymorris09 questioned: "Is she gonna be elphiba or glinda that's the question," to which @moonstar_hamstar added: "I was going to say Glinda as they’re dancing to Popular but knowing @vitocoppola and @hadderstime …who knows they may surprise us."
