BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland in 'diffcult' admission before next live dance
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsChris McCausland has made a 'diffcult' admission about his latest week of training for Strictly Come Dancing as he prepares to return to the ballroom.
The comedian is riding high heading into week ten of the BBC One dance contest. Last weekend, he received his highest score of the series, 37 out of a possible 40, alongside professional dance partner Dianne Buswell.
Following their classic American Smooth last weekend, they made it through to week ten of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series, which will take place live this Saturday night (November 23) back in Elstree Studio's after the show's jaunt to Blackpool where the last live show was broadcast live from the world-famous Tower Ballroom.

They will return to the ballroom on Saturday night (November 23) with a Paso Doble to El Gato Montes by Manuel Panellaand it's a special night for Dianne as her parents will get to watch her perform live on the show for the first time as they travelled to the UK from Australia.
But it's not been an easy week for Chris. He admitted in his latest diary for The Telegraph: "The Paso has been difficult to get to grips with as the posture and frame is so bizarre and extreme that it took poor Dianne quite a while to get me to understand what was required of me.
"I had absolutely no reference points for this dance and whereas all of the other contestants are able to watch one another and get a good idea of what might be required from future dances, Dianne has to start from absolute zero with me every Monday."
He added: "This one has been a bit of a head scramble, but we will do our best to entertain. I don’t think Shirley and Anton will be needing their 10 paddles. Making it this far feels like we’ve already won, but week 11 would be nice as well I suppose. Not sure if I mentioned it, but I’m quite enjoying this dancing lark."

It comes as Chris revealed the innovative way Dianne teaches him the routine. The 47-year-old, who is Strictly's first blind contestant, said he feels like a 'bendy Spiderman' in rehearsals as he figures out the steps. Chris admitted that Diane initially 'didn't have a clue' how to teach him choreography with the pair trying many different methods.
Appearing on The Graham Norton Show on Friday (November 22), he explained: "When we started, we didn’t have a clue how we would do it so decided to wing it and see what happens. I had never been taught to dance and Dianne had never taught anyone that couldn’t see.
"She sometimes describes what needs doing, sometimes I have to get on my hands and knees and figure out what she is doing with her legs and feet, and sometimes she picks a part of me and put it where she wants it." He added: "I’m like a bendy Spiderman! But whatever it is we are doing it is working."
