Emmerdale Ella's exit twist 'revealed' after actor 'quits' soap - and Chas should be scared

Emmerdale viewers believe they've pieced together the circumstances of Ella Forster's departure from the village, following news of actress Paula Lane's impending exit from the soap.

Ella made her first appearance on the show earlier this year, and it was immediately apparent that she was harbouring a significant secret. True to soap opera form, her shocking revelation eventually came to light.

At the age of 11, Ella was responsible for the death of her best friend and served time in prison for the crime. Since her release, Ella, formerly known as Ruth, has been constantly on the move around the country.

Upon arriving in the Dales in January, Ella hoped to finally put down roots, particularly after beginning a relationship with GP Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).

However, when Liam discovered her past as a child killer, he ended their relationship, unable to cope with the revelation given his own daughter Leanna's (Mimi Slinger) murder, reports Leeds Live.

Consequently, Ella left the village in June, only to make a dramatic return a few months later, where she has since become close friends with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley). But after reuniting with Liam, Ella was devastated last week upon discovering that he had cheated on her with Chas (Lucy Pargeter).

Adding to the drama, it was reported this week that actress Paula is set to leave the soap. According to Birmingham Live, it is believed that Paula's final scenes will be broadcast in the spring of 2025.

Paula, 38, hinted at her departure from Emmerdale in February 2025 through a talent Spotlight page linked in her Instagram bio, indicating the end of her filming with the show.

Emmerdale enthusiasts have since speculated on how Ella's character might make her exit, with theories suggesting a dramatic storyline involving retribution against Chas and Liam, potentially leading to an attempted murder plot twist.

On a dedicated Emmerdale Facebook fan group, one viewer speculated: "I know this will be hugely controversial but I'd love it if she killed smug Chas (who steals men permanently and can't keep getting away with it) and got away with it and lived happily ever after with Liam and they have a little girl."

Another fan predicted: "Ella is definitely going to try to get rid of Chas and/or Liam." Echoing this sentiment, another added: "Yes I think she will try and kill Chas and get sent back to prison."
