Rylan Clark eyes up ITV I'm A Celebrity star as he makes cheeky romance comments

Rylan Clark jokingly revealed that if his pal Tulisa wasn't up for a romance with her I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here co-star, he would be.

The BBC Radio 2 star appeared on This Morning on Friday (November 29) to show his support for the N-Dubz singer as she takes part in the ITV reality show this year.

Tulisa, 36, entered the jungle during the 2024 series launch earlier this month and former X Factor star and Big Brother spin-off host Rylan, also 36, took to social media to brand the noughties star's participation in hit Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly-fronted show an exciting throwback.

He first shared the singer's starring moment during the titles for the programme and wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "YES 2012 come throughhhhhhh (sic)" referring to Tulisa, who was a judge on the X Factor between 2011 and 2012, posing with her forearm on display, showing off a tattoo that reads: "The female boss."

But the TV and radio host went on to share: "Also before people start going for appearance, Tulisa has been through a lot health wise the last few years so let’s not make s*** jokes about her on twitter yeah x. (sic)"

Now, Rylan has addressed his comments on This Morning during their I'm A Celeb segment with Jordan North. Also speaking to hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, he said: "She's such a sweet girl and Derm, you know her like I do, she's a really really sweet girl. Listen - if she wants to do anything to her face or body that's entirely up to her. She's in a position to do that and if she wants to, good luck to her.'

He explained: "But actually, if you look at a lot of the reasonings why she's done that. That does come down to a lot of medical issues that she's had privately that she's now been a bit more public about. But you know, listen, if you don't like someone's singing, if you don't like someone's presenting then have your say - but let's just stop going for people's looks, especially when they've been off-grid for the past however many years."

Rylan added: "This is a big step for her to make that comeback into public life and I'm so glad that everyone's seeing that she's just decent, she's lovely, and she's just getting on with everyone, which is T down to a T."

He was also asked about a possible romance between Tulisa and her fellow campmate Alan Halsall after viewers spotted a possible connection between the singer and the Coronation Street actor. Alison asked: "Do you think there's a bit of romance between Tulisa and Alan?"

Rylan said: "Do you know what right, I'm not just saying this, I'm watching this and I don't know about T and Alan but I'm going to put it out there, Alan seems like a proper decent bloke. So if Tyrone wants to give me a ring... Come on, Tyrone!"
