I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here viewers claimed to have worked out Dean McCullough's 'plan' as he was quickly called out in camp.

The BBC Radio 1 star has sent fans of the ITV reality show on a bit of a rollercoaster ride after he quickly faced criticism from them and show hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly over his trial attempts, after facing six Bushtucker trials in a row.

He also came under fire from viewers over an intense exchange with Coronation Street star Alan Halsall. At the time, after indulging in a hefty portion of junk food, courtesy of Maura Higgins and Richard Coles' covert mission and a gut-wrenching eating trial, a drowsy Dean opted for a snooze.

However, with camp duties pending, Jane Moore found herself needing to gather firewood, stating in line with camp rules: "I can't do it on my own". Alan observed Jane setting off solo and stepped up to rouse Dean for assistance. Yet, a groggy Dean was far from thrilled at being woken and barely moved as Alan enquired: "You don't fancy it? No? ".

When he got little response from BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean, Alan decided to go down with Jane to help her so she wasn’t alone. As Dean headed to join Alan and Jane, he said to Alan: "You can go back now." Dean that got a bit annoyed with Alan as he shared the reasons for his slow response.

Since then, I'm A Celeb fans encouraged others to stop voting for Dean and they've have since got their wise with Maura and Jane, and more recently Tulisa taking on the Bushtucker trials. He will, however, be back in action on Thursday night (November 28) after being voted for the next challenge alongside Alan and Danny Jones.

But during the last instalment of jungle action on Wednesday evening (November 27), I'm A Celeb viewers saw Melvin Odoom continue with his water duties and Dean was nowhere to be seen. As Melvin told his fellow campmates: "This is a lone man situation, he’s very good at disappearing."

When tasked with carrying one pot of water back to camp, he told his fellow campmates: "That is no joke, the pot is so heavy." As he said: “I hate doing the water guys I’ve said it, I’m just gonna have to hold my hands up, it’s an awful job and I hate it, and I don’t wanna do it anymore. Guys I can’t, it’s not for me!"

As he continued, Danny the camp leader said to Dean: "Just get on with it mate." As Melvin encouraged Dean to carry on fetching water with him, and the camp told him to adopt a positive attitude, Dean said: "Look, no beef, no drama, I just hate my job!"

Melvin joked: “Listen, your new name is Houdini because you like to disappear!” The camp descended into laughter as Oti exclaimed: “Shots fired!” while Dean was left too shocked to speak. But I'm A Celeb viewers think Dean's outburst is all part of a plan to get him more air time during his trial lull.

@danidelle23 said: "Dean: 'How can I get more air time today? Ah yes I’ll start shouting and pretend I want to leave.' #ImACeleb." @EllanWicks commented: "So Dean has moved to phase two of his attention seeking plan: Phase one - make sure he does all the trials for the most air time Phase two - no longer doing trials so is now going to start pathetic arguments with everyone to you guessed it get the most air time #ImACeleb."

@rhyssuxx wrote: "So dean’s not getting voted for any trials so he’s kicking off in camp for air time instead?? #imaceleb." @LauraGarside posted: "Of course dean is going to start playing up and causing tension to get the air time now we have stopped voting for him to do the trials #ImACeleb." @oliviamill27 added: "Dean’s not been voted for two trials on the trot, realised he’s not centre of attention anymore, acting up to get air time. Snore. #ImACeleb."
