BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans 'despair' as they spot Pete Wicks problem and say 'cut him some slack'

Strictly Come Dancing fans said they were in 'despair' as they watched the latest live show over a problem with Pete Wicks. The reality star was back on the dance floor on Saturday night (November 23).

The dance contest returned to BBC One with week 10 of the hit show as the seven remaining couples appeared in the ballroom to fight for their place in the competition.

After coming bottom of the leaderboard last weekend during Strictly's annual Blackpool special, in which he donned pink PVC trousers and performed a cha cha cha to Right Said Fred's I'm Too Sexy, he kicked off the latest live show with an elegant tango which landed him a score of 29.

Dressed in an all-black suit, podcast host and former TOWIE star Pete guided and dipped his professional partner Jowita Przystal across the dancefloor to Easy Lover by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins.

Head judge Shirley Ballas hailed him as "quite an extraordinary performer" and that this week she loved that he was "focused on the job at hand". Meanwhile, Motsi Mabuse said the routine "really suits" Pete and complimented his top line.

But Strictly fans once again weren't impressed with the song choice for Pete's latest routine. @craigy_73 said: "I despair at the music choices on @bbcstrictly How on earth is Easy Lover a Tango?! #BBCStrictly #strictly." @RyanTheSoapking commented: "Sadly the song choice let Pete down this week and the Tango was a little slow because of that. No way was that Tango worth an 8. #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing."

@maisiethetortie fumed: "That music was dreadful and too fast for the dance! #Strictly." @emmabeex0 posted: "But that song just didn’t go with Pete’s dance at all?! It’s annoying. Give the man a chance. #strictly." @Steph832 added: "Strange song choice for a Tango. It was an improvement from last week but not by much. I think Pete will be in the dance off this week. #Strictly."
