They were the first of the eight couples to make it through to week nine of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series to take to the world-famous ballroom floor, performing a classical American smooth routine to Canadian-born singer Paul Anka’s Jump that earned them their first 10s of the series.
Head judge Shirley Ballas told black tie-wearing Chris that he had the "best feet I’ve seen in a long time", and "didn’t miss a beat". Anton Du Beke said, "If anyone can beat that tonight, I’d be amazed", before they earned 37 points out of a possible 40 from the judges, as co-host Tess Daly revealed they were the 100th Strictly couple to perform in Blackpool.
It was then confirmed during Sunday night's (November 17) results show that Chris and Dianne had made it through to week 10 of Strictly's 2024 series which was a personal goal for Dianne as it means her parents will get to see her perfomr live in the ballroom for the first time as they visit from Australia.
But ahead of their return to Strictly's ballroom in Elstree Studio this Saturday (November 23) when they'll perform a Paso Doble to El Gato Montes by Manuel Panella, Chris has been reflecting on their last performance.

He shared a video to Instagram which showed him and Dianne talking to Strictly co-host Claudia Winkleman before getting their amazing scores. Alongside the post, the 47-year-old wrote: "In case you missed it, here were the judges’ scores from the Blackpool Special."
And fans rushed to respond with some pointing out that Chris had to have help from Dianne who whispered the scores to him as he struggled to hear over the cheering from their co-stars and the live audience.
@emmaruthcox said: "Those 10s were so well deserved! You smashed it again!" @adventuresofamumandson commented: "So we'll deserved. You guys are amazing and you're a true inspiration Chris. You get mine and my son's vote every week. We'd love you to win." @v1rtuoso77 wrote: "And I love the way Chris cheered at Shirley's score and then asked Dianne what it was. It must be hard to hear anything with all thr noise going on when you can't see the screens either."
@fleursbylis posted: "Aw so well deserved. It was a beautiful dance and I'm amazed every week. So pleased you're still in the "concert" for Dianne's parents coming over. Here's to the final." @lydv89 added: "I can not get enough of watching you and Diane dance. It’s been amazing. Loved every single second of every single dance."
