I'm A Celebrity viewers are celebrating after spotting something different about the infamous bushtucker trials this year.

A brand new batch of 10 celebrities headed into the Australian jungle on Sunday night and the action continued on ITV on Monday evening.

McFly star Danny Jones and boxer Barry McGuigan were the first pair to take on a bushtucker trial on day one, after being picked for the task by camp leaders singer Tulisa Contostavlos and Corrie star Alan Halsall. The pair managed to get just five stars after Barry struggled to navigate the lock and key challenge, while Danny fared better but got a giant snake stuck inside his shorts.

On Monday night, it was the turn of podcaster GK Barry after she was voted by the public to take on Vile Volcano. Fans were shocked to see the screaming star walk away with nine out of ten stars. Some even admitted they 'owed her an apology' after she managed to compose herself during the trial, spurred on by some inspirational quotes from Ant and Dec.

At the end of Monday's episode, Ant and Dec returned to camp to let the celebrities know who would be next. After the vote came down to either GK again or BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, fans were delighted to learn it was Dean's turn.

In previous series, some celebrities have found themselves having to do the trials over and over again. But fans are hopeful that this series the public will give more of the campmates a chance to prove themselves.

Taking to social media, some viewers praised voters for picking someone new. "Finally a series where we don’t have one person doing the trials every night," one person commented. "Some variation will go a long way. This might be the greatest series in years."

Another said: "Can we please make sure different people do trials this year… I cba to watch the same person over and over again."

A third shocked viewer asked: "We’re really voting different people for different trials and not sticking with the same person!?!?"

"Yes! Well done Public choosing Dean, glad someone different gets to do a Bushtucker Trial," another wrote, while somebody else added: "Thank you British public for not picking on GK Barry to do EVERY trial."

Another celebrated the vote, saying: "Yessss always nice to see someone different do a trial," while another commented: "I much prefer to see different people doing the trials."

"UK Voters voting for a different celebrity," another wrote. "As a nation of terrible voters, I feel like we’re healing!"
