Coronation Street fans brand Roy Cropper 'savage' as DS Lisa Swain moment leaves them 'unable to cope'
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsCoronation Street fans branded Roy Cropper 'savage' as he appeared to give DS Lisa Swain food for thought before a major relationship update.
Viewers of the ITV soap have been willing for Lisa to fully admit her feelings for Carla Connor as the pair have been slowly falling for each other in recent months after becoming a shoulder to cry on and someone to vent to for each other.
Corrie fans will then remember that in October, the pair shared a charged moment which left them both internally questioning their feelings for one another before they decided to get their friendship back on track.

Then earlier this month, after some advice from Ryan Connor, Carla headed back to her flat where she found Lisa getting dressed after spending the night on the sofa following a drunken night in the Rovers Return. However, Carla told her not to bother putting her clothes back on, before grabbing her face and kissing her, with Lisa quick to reciprocate.
Carla later emerged from her bedroom but when she pointed out that Lisa’s phone had been ringing, detective told her to ignore it before heading back to bed. Carla later opened up to Lisa about her experiences being with women before but unfortunately, their romantic moment didn't last long as Lisa soon discovered that her daughter Betsy Swain was in trouble.
The pair's relationship then failed to progress but this week, Betsy was seen trying to help pal Mason Radcliffe by getting his brothers, Matty and Logan, off his back as they start to spread their terror across the street. She told Mason that his troublesome brothers were no longer a concern due to a deal she had made with them. It was later revealed that Betsy had set it up so that the brothers could burgle the knicker factory in exchange for leaving Mason alone.
But the brothers ended up attacking Carla, who was rushed to hospital and had to have surgery to stop a bleed on her brain, leaving her loved ones worried sick. However, within the blink of an eye, Carla seemingly appeared on the mend, even managing to have a joke with Roy Cropper about her feelings for Lisa.
With still no progress for the pair, during Friday night's (November 29) Corrie, viewers saw Roy approach Lisa at her table in the café as she nursed a hot drink. He informed her that Carla was being released from the hospital but as he lingered, Lisa asked: "Is there something you wanted to say to me, Roy?"

The Roy's Roll owner went on to talk about Carla not being fit enough for work before sharing some thoughts on the two women without one another, saying neither of them are happy. Lisa said she wanted to focus on Betsy and when Roy brought up her age, he said she'll soon by flying the nest and that'll leave her "on her own".
