Marvin Humes sends BBC Strictly Come Dancing's JB Gill three-word message as fans spot 'mistakes'
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsMarvin Humes was quick to show JB Gill his support with a sweet message after his latest success in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom.
The JLS star was back in the ballroom on Saturday night (November 23) alongside professional dance partner Lauren Oakley and hey were among the seven who made it through to week ten of the BBC One dance contest which got underway following last weekend's Blackpool spectacular.
And JB and Lauren were seen picking up another near-perfect score as they were awarded 39 out of 40 points from the judges for their lively Charleston to Yes Sir! That’s My Baby by Firehouse Five Plus Two.
Dressed in white trousers, a striped shirt and braces, pop star and presenter JB flipped pro dancer Lauren upside down and in a cartwheel spin as well as showing off his quick footwork.
Craig Revel Horwood praised the routine as "pure class", while Motsi Mabuse said JB has loosened up and now has the "right swag". Head judge Shirley Ballas thanked JB for bringing "so much joy" to the dancefloor as she described his performance as "amazing".
JB and Lauren later boosted their score and ended up finishing joint top of the leaderboard following the return of the dance-a-thon when all the couples performed the samba simultaneously while the judges looked on.
Tasha Ghouri picked up an additional six points as she was voted runner-up behind JB, who was named the winner of the dance, landing seven points. It meant they both finished with 46 points after Tasha and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec were awarded the first 40 of the 2024 series.

Following the news JB had won the Samba-Thon, a clip was shared on Strictly's Instagram page to which his bandmate Marvin responded: "Our winners always!" He also commented on JB's later post revelling in the pure joy he felt at being crowned the Samba-Thon winner, saying: "Snake Hips Samba King!"
But other Strictly fans were a bit disappointed as they clamed to have spotted 'mistakes' during JB's main routine. @Semaaa_WL said: "Idk if I'm going crazy but I swear JB made some mistakes during his dance and even lost some steam during the middle? #Strictly." @LauzOfArabia commented: "Not sure me and the judges watched the same dance then? A few mistakes by JB #strictly."
@EveSukiEE posted: "I did think JB's Charleston was great but it did have a few tiny mistakes which saddens me a lil but he got three 10s so it was all worth it #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing." @webbywebwebs added: "I saw a few mistakes, surprised the judges didn't pick them up."
