Who is Coleen Rooney in ITV I'm A Celebrity 2024?
by Miranda Pell · Manchester Evening NewsWAG and TV personality Coleen Rooney is taking part in this year's ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
Coleen Rooney, 38, is best known for being the wife of football legend Wayne Rooney, 39. The pair met when Coleen was just 12, and they married in 2008.
In 2019, Coleen became caught up in widespread media attention due to the ‘Wagatha Christie’ scandal, where she accused fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, who also appeared on a series of I’m A Celebrity in 2017, of leaking stories about her to the press.

The feud was highly publicised and even escalated into a libel case in 2022, which Coleen won. The Wagatha Christie case, Vardy v Rooney, has since been turned into two TV dramas.
Channel Four released the two-part drama Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama in 2022 and Disney+ released the three-part documentary Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story in 2023.
Coleen is set to receive a whopping £1.5million for taking part in ITV’s hit show I’m A Celeb, it has been reported. It would make her one of the highest paid contestants in the show’s history.
She has written several books including autobiography My Account: The Official Autobiography which was released in October 2023 as well as fashion guide Coleen's Real Style back in 2008.
The TV personality has always been involved in the fashion industry and she even released her own fashion line, Coleen x Littlewoods, in 2010.

She recently appeared on Fearne Cotton’s podcast Happy Place to discuss honesty, community and the pressures of being in the public eye.
Speaking about her marriage, she said: "With me and Wayne, I've always said there was always love still there so why throw it away when you can work at it. If you work at it and it doesn't work, then forget about it and go your own separate ways. But there's always been love, there's always been."
Coleen said "honest" chats are key to getting through difficult moments and she added: "Just get it out on the table. There's no point in keeping it in because that's where you get yourself so worked up and I've seen that happen to so many people.
I’m A Celebrity posted a video on Instagram of Coleen talking about going on the show ahead of its launch. The mum of four said she wants to stay until the very end.
She said: “I’ve never been exposed as much as this in all my life. I think I’m up for a challenge for myself.”
She said she is pretty prepared to go into the Aussie outback, as her house is “like living in a jungle”.
The 38 year old revealed that although she cooks for her kids and husband, she would like a chef to be in there. She revealed that she is afraid of rats and said “hopefully I don’t go into panic mode”.
Joining Coleen in the jungle is Corrie star Alan Halsall, Dancing on Ice judge Oti Mabuse, TV presenter GK Barry, singer Tulisa, former boxer Barry McGuigan, radio DJ Melvin Odoom, Loose Women's Jane Moore, musician Danny Jones and radio presenter Dean McCullough.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here 2024 starts at 9 pm on Sunday 17 November on ITV1 and ITVX.
