BBC Strictly Come Dancing stars named as 'in trouble' - and it's not just Pete Wicks
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsTwo Strictly Come Dancing stars have been named as being 'in trouble' ahead of the quarter-finals - and it's not just Pete Wicks. The reality star was tipped to leave the competition over the weekend but was seen making it through alongside dance partner Jowita Przystal.
After his pink PVC-wearing appearance during the previous live show's Blackpool special, Pete returned to Strictly's usual ballroom at Elstree Studios suited and booted for his routine, in which he guided and dipped his professional partner Jowita across the dancefloor
Their Tango to Easy Lover by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins landed them a score of 29 out of a possible 40 points from the judges, with lead judge Shirley Ballas hailing him as "quite an extraordinary performer" and that this week she loved that he was "focused on the job at hand".
It was then on Sunday night (November 24) during the latest results show that it was confirmed Pete and Jowita had made it through to the quarter-final of Strictly's 2024 series, which is the show's annual Musicals Week.
Pete admitted after to Strictly co-host Claudia Winkleman that he was stunned by the results, adding: "I'm more shocked this week than last week," before Jowita revealed the pair would be dancing to a song from West Side Story for Musicals Week, to which Pete replied: "What's that?"
Now, it's been revealed that Pete could face 'trouble' during the next live show on Saturday (November 30), and while Tasha Ghouri continues to dominate the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard each week - it looks like the former Love Island star is the most likely contestant to lift the Glitterball Trophy.
A supercomputer from FruitySlots.com has factored in the latest scores to determine who has the highest probability of winning, with Tasha and partner Aljaž Škorjanec coming out on top with a staggering 39.6%. Sarah Hadland follows behind in second position, with a 18.4% probability of winning. It comes after the actress and her partner Vito Coppola stunned viewers with their saucy rumba routine over the weekend.

Meanwhile, JLS star JB Gill - who topped the leaderboard alongside Tasha on Saturday - follows at 17%, making him the third most likely star to secure the winning spot this year.
Despite being favourites amongst Strictly viewers, Pete and Chris McCausland could be set for trouble in the upcoming quarter-finals. According to supercomputer calculations, reality star Pete’s chances of winning are slim, with a win probability of just 4.4%, as Chris is also low down the rankings at 10.2%.
A spokesperson for FruitySlots.com said: “Sarah Hadland and JB Gill have wowed fans and judges alike as standout stars of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing. However, Tasha Ghouri remains the one to watch, emerging as the frontrunner for the Glitterball Trophy.
“Our Supercomputer predicts these three talented contestants have the strongest chances of claiming victory, but trouble could be on the horizon for Pete Wicks and Chris McCausland. With the competition heating up and the quarter-finals just around the corner, do they have what it takes to light up the ballroom and steal the spotlight?”
