ITV Emmerdale Dingle 'to return from dead' in game-changing twist - and fans have 'proof'

An Emmerdale Dingle might just make a sensational comeback from beyond the grave in what could be a monumental plot twist.

The Dingle clan has been at the heart of the ITV soap for its 52-year history, with characters like Chas Dingle (portrayed by Lucy Pargeter), Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) taking centre stage.

Regular appearances from Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), Sam Dingle (James Hooton), and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) have kept viewers hooked. However, fans have also had to bid farewell to beloved Dingles such as Lisa (Jane Cox), and more recently, Zak (Steve Halliwell).

Charity, who first graced our screens in 2000, has won over audiences through the years. Her storyline has been a rollercoaster of affairs, hidden offspring, domestic abuse, and even murder, ensuring her life in the Dales is anything but dull.

But now, speculation among fans suggests that Charity could be on the verge of a massive family revelation. Daughter of Obadiah (Paul Kopley) and Kathleen Dingle, Charity has a complicated history with her father, whom she sought out in 2018 hoping to mend their fractured relationship, reports Leeds Live.

Kathleen's past, however, is shrouded in enigma. She took her own life when Charity was just a child, leaving behind a note for her husband Obadiah before driving to a cliff edge and leaping off - yet her body was never recovered.

Eagle-eyed fans are now theorizing that Kathleen might just walk back into the Dales, delivering a jaw-dropping twist. A Reddit thread titled "Charity's mum" has become a hotbed for fan predictions about Kathleen's potential return.

One viewer expressed disappointment, stating: "Charity's mum, with great casting, could have been a great addition to the cast. After that episode with her dad and she found out about the suicide, I could have SWORN we were getting a fantastic arc...but it just never happened."

Another fan speculated on a potential plot twist, noting the absence of a body as a possible hint towards her return. They wrote: "This one always surprises me says that charity's mother Kathleen Dingle died by suicide and the body was never found what are the chances she faked her death and is still alive." A second viewer agreed, simply adding: "Definitely!"
