Rylan Clark's six-word response to Rob Rinder as he sparks another 'romance rumour'

by · Manchester Evening News

Rylan Clark was quick to hilariously respond to Rob Rinder's latest update as he seemingly sparked another romance rumour between the pair as they work on their next project together.

Rylan and Rob had become firm pals over the years before fans got to see the dynamics of their friendship in their first TV show together. Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour began which aired earlier this year on BBC2.

It saw the pair take viewers along to some of Italy's greatest art treasures in destinations such as Venice, Florence and Rome as they followed in the footsteps of 19th-century romantic poet Lord Byron and other Grand Tourists.

It was then earlier this month that Rylan confirmed that he and Rob will be teaming up again for a new TV show following the success of their Italian adventure.

Taking to Instagram, Rylan shared a beaming selfie of the pair and said: "So excited we’re back for season 2 and this time we’re off to INDIA. Bumped into each other yesterday and this is how excited we are. Thank you everyone that watched our show and we can’t wait until we get going for S2." He then jokingly promised: "I’ll try not to kill him."

But while they were away for their first series, Rob decided to pull a bit of a prank on his co-star by telling the whole Twittersphere that they had gotten engaged. Criminal barrister-turned-TV star Rob took to Twitter with a gorgeous snap showing the two stars standing in what appeared to be the Italian countryside.

The views spread for miles while Rylan and Rob stood facing each other under the bright sun beating down on them, both while sporting crisp white shirts and trousers. "Elton’s set at Glastonbury has inspired us to tie the knot. I [heart] @Rylan," Rob typed alongside the snap on Twitter as fans rushed to share their congratulations with some believing the nuptials to be true.

However, those wanting it to be real, were sadly disappointed as Rylan, 34, himself replied and confirmed: "Fake news he’s had a wine." Rylan later revealed that once home, he had to clarify to a stranger that he and Rob were not tying the knot after they congratulated him in the street.

But the Good Morning Britain star is at it again as he shared a sweet snap of the pair in India on X, formerly known as Twitter, and said: "He said maybe @Rylan," alongside a couple with a heart emoji. But Rylan was quick to respond as he said: "He said NOTHING of the sort. #injunction," to which Rob then responded with a crying laughing emoji.

Talking to the Express at the BBC Radio 2 In The Park festival earlier this year, Rylan said he "loves" the rumours they are involved in a romance. "Me and Rob are like an old married couple but we don't have sex. We are a typical married couple!" he playfully revealed.

"I love Rob. If you could marry your friends, I'd marry Rob because he is just the most wonderful man." However, he warned: "If I ended up in a relationship with him I'd probably kill him in two days... not a good look, but I do love him."
