Dean McCullough has seemingly turned the public's opinion around after his trial struggles saw him become the favourite to leave I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here first when eliminations begin.

The BBC Radio 1 star was voted to take on six trials in a row during the first week in the camp Down Under alongside 11 other famous faces. But on Tuesday night (November 26), Dean finally got his break as viewers of the ITV reality show voted Maura Higgins and Jane Moore to take on the latest trial.

During the episode, the pair one six out of 12 stars for their campmates during the, named Fright At The End of The Tunnel, after they received the most votes, and Maura admitted to being "petrified" by the task. The former Love Island star then confessed: "I just don’t want to let everyone down."

Before the trial began, Ant and Dec observed: "You’re probably the screamiest bunch of celebrities we’ve ever had on this show!" The celebrity duo were also told by Ant and Dec that the trial involved two tunnels, with one travelling above ground and the other going below ground.

Maura took the above-ground tunnel, and Jane took the below-ground, water-based tunnel. But the pair were asked to work together in order to secure stars for the I'm a Celebrity camp.

Maura was confronted by toads, lizards, and spiders in her tunnel, while Jane had to keep her head under the water in an effort to unlock the stars. In the end, Maura - who has a phobia of spiders - and Jane managed to claim six out of 12 stars for their campmates.

The celebrities even received praise from Ant and Dec, who observed that they performed "remarkably" well. Dec said: "That was a very, very tough trial, so I think you did remarkably the pair of you - you should both be very proud." The campmates were then later treated to mud crabs for dinner as a result of Maura and Jane's efforts.

However, after Jane begged to take part in a trial, some were left unimpressed and were quick to decided she should be the first to leave, but more so for her continued comments over doing the washing up after new camp leaders Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones reassigned the chores.
