Good Morning Britain's latest episode didn't quit go to plan as host Susanna Reid found herself in a heated exchange with Home Alone actor and Donald Trump supporter, Rob Schneider, live on air.

Susanna and Ed Balls were presenting a special edition of GMB from Washington D. C. covering the election face-off between Trump and Kamala Harris for the US presidency.

However, the show took an unexpected turn when Hollywood actor Rob began his interview by alleging that Susanna and Ed had been discussing "misogyny off-camera". The hosts quickly dismissed his claim.

Susanna retorted: "Neither of us have uttered those words", while Ed attempted to steer the conversation back on track by asking Rob: "Tell us about Donald Trump becoming the President of the United States? .", reports the Mirror.

When Rob failed to respond, Ed continued: "Are you sure you've been watching our programme? I feel like we're on Saturday Night Live here Rob, are we in Home Alone 4? I feel like this interview has taken a bit of a turn! '".

Later in the show, Susanna had to intervene when a guest used inappropriate language live on air. After he said "p***ed off" twice, Susanna pointed out: "I'm not sure we can say that", before swiftly moving the conversation back to the US election.

The episode left viewers disgruntled due to the lack of British news coverage. One viewer vented their frustration on X, formerly known as Twitter, writing: "FFS where's the British news, how many reporters do you need to send to America, enough already."

Another remarked: "Don't get this much coverage for a UK election, meanwhile - what's the weather over Oxfordshire going to be today? Any British news? " A third contributor chimed in: "Is there anyone in the London studio to give us British news."

A fourth individual posed the question: "Have I missed the weather and our local news? " While another echoed their sentiments: "No news happening anywhere else today then!"

Yet, amidst the grievances, certain viewers were quite content with the extensive coverage as Trump surged ahead in the polling. In contrast, a viewer enthusiastically shared: "TRUMP WINS. It is A WIN for the USA AND for the WORLD. Crazy He's been Voted IN for The 2nd time. I LOVE how The news channels are fuming! ! ! ".

Nonetheless, later on, Susanna passed the programme over to Charlotte Hawkins back at the London studio, who proceeded to provide the latest UK news updates to the audience.
