Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon wraps up with co-stars in late-night filming before 'exit'

Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon was seen trying to keep warm alongside her co-stars as they got took a break from late-night filming ahead of her upcoming exit.

The actress, who is famed for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, has hinted that drama could be on the cards for the Platts following the upcoming exit of matriarch Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth.

The actress has already finished filming after confirming her plans to bow out of playing the character after 50 years earlier this year. With filming done several weeks in advance, Helen's remaining on-screen family have had to continue on without her.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday night (November 19), Lucy shared a snap of herself, Julia Goulding and Paddy Bever, who play Weatherfiled's Shona Platt and Max Tuner, all of whom were wearing their bright red coats provided to them on set.

Lucy in particular was trying to keep as warm as possible as she put her hood up so the grey fleece lining of the jacket covered her ears and head. Alongside the post, she wrote on her Instagram Story: "Night sloot slay @julia_goulding @paddybever."

She then later shared a picture of herself using an animal face effect and used a time stamp to confirm it was 11.49pm and that it was -1 degrees celsius outside before tagging her location as 'Coronation Street'. On Wednesday (November 20), Lucy shared a snap from inside The Midland hotel which she captioned: "Pre night shoot brunch."

It comes as Lucy will soon be taking break from the cobbles as she heads on maternity leave. The 29-year-old revealed she was pregnant with baby number two in an adorable video announcement with her footballer beau Ryan Ledson in August. . She and Ryan then later shared their delight as they confirmed they were expecting a baby girl to join them and their first child, son Sonny Jude.

But Lucy has still been very much busy on the cobbles after confirming she'll won't be away from her role 'for too long' as she confirmed shortly atfter her pregnancy news in a pot on Instagram: "I am returning after I pop the baby out xx."
