'Neighbours found out about my adult work before I moved in - thanks to my estate agent'

A woman was mortified when she realised her neighbours knew all about her X-rated line of work before she had even moved in after her estate agent's awkward blunder

It's common for neighbours to know little things about each other's lives, from what cars they drive to who comes to visit.

However unless they have become friends, they usually wouldn't know what each other did for a job - unlike one woman who discovered her neighbours knew what she did for a living all thanks to her estate agent. When Kendra Lust began the process of buying the property, the estate agent instantly recognised her from her work as an adult star, and mortifyingly let it slip to the neighbouring homeowners. Despite her efforts to remain low-key, the woman said she may as well have shown up in "stripper heels and a thong."

The 45-year-old has been making adult content since 2012 but has been trying to go under the radar as a "plain Jane" and look as unassuming as she can. However, she was left horrified when she realised her new neighbours already knew a lot more about her than she thought.

The American nurse-turned-adult star told podcaster Holly Randall that she had tried to make an effort to not look like how you would expect an adult worker to look, but said she may as well have "worn stripper heels and a thong as the secret was already out". Thanks to the estate agent who had sold her house to her, her secret was spilled.

"I think people had a stereotype of what somebody in the adult industry does, or looks like, or how they behave," Kendra explained, before revealing that she's very respectful of her neighbours. The adult star revealed the people next door were more than cordial when they got to know her, and argued that it's a "good thing" they know as it's important for her children to see people accepting it.

"[It's important] our little one sees that other people are accepting that I'm just normal," Kendra said, before clarifying that she doesn't host wild parties at her house every night. "We're not doing all kinds of crazy things that people think, we save those types of things for vacations and getaways."
