House with shower located inches from the bed hits market for £350,000

The unusual bedroom feature could charm some people into considering the Essex property that includes bright double bedrooms one of which has an "open plan en suit"

A house with a very convenient, although somewhat unusual, bedroom feature has gone on the market for £350,000.

The Essex-based property features two light and bright double bedrooms – one of which has an “open plan en-suite”. Just inches from the bed, a shower unit and sink can be seen. The unusual bedroom feature appears well maintained, with a glass cubicle to prevent any spillages. There doesn’t appear to be a toilet in the open place space.

Despite the unusual placing of the shower, it could be perfect for the chilly winter mornings. The end of terrace home, in the Bishop's Stortford area, also boasts a family bathroom, a kitchen-breakfast room, a lounge and conservatory, reports Luxury Property News.

Outside, there’s a large garden and garage. The listing, held by Mullucks, says the home is “in need of updating” and comes with no chain. Of the “en suite”, the agent says the “shower room could be enclosed if preferred”. The property is currently available for £350,000.

Earlier this year, a property with a toilet next to – and facing – the bed was listed in Morley, Leeds. Still currently available, the pink bedroom featured a freestanding bath and sink, as well as the bizarrely placed WC. It is currently on the market for £359,995 with William H. Brown. The property is just one of many that have hit the market in recent months that include unusual features. Last month, a five-bedroom home became available to buy that had cinema-style quality.

The property, named Cattleya after 19th Century merchant William Cattley, stands on 1.8 acres of land in Rawdon, near Leeds, West Yorkshire. The home includes a Star Wars-themed cinema room that has a stunning replica of the film's franchise's iconic Millennium Falcon star ship.
