Jon Hamm Drama ‘Your Friends and Neighbors’ Renewed for Season 2 at Apple as Season 1 Sets Premiere Date

by · Variety

Apple TV+ has renewed the drama series “Your Friends & Neighbors” starring Jon Hamm for Season 2, with Season 1 officially setting its premiere date.

The first season will bow on April 11 with two episodes, followed by one episode weekly through May 30. The early renewal comes just under a year after it was announced that Hamm would star in the nine-episode first season, which hails from creator Jonathan Tropper.

“I’ve had this show in my head for years, and making it has been a dream come true,” said Tropper. “It’s been an absolute thrill partnering with Hamm, along with Connie Tavel and Craig Gillespie, to bring it to life. The support from everyone at Apple has been phenomenal, and the fact that they’ve ordered a second season before we aired our first is an incredible validation and a tribute to the work of this stellar cast, as well as the crew, writers, directors and producers who worked so hard to make this show what it is. We can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Along with Hamm, the cast includes Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Marie Gravitt and Donovan Colan.

Tropper serves as director, executive producer, and showrunner on “Your Friends and Neighbors” in addition to creating the series under his overall deal with AppleTV+.
