‘Cloak and Dagger’ Star Miles Mussenden to Co-Lead Thriller ‘Croatoan’ With Director Britt Bankhead (EXCLUSIVE)
by J. Kim Murphy · VarietyMiles Mussenden, best known for his roles in the Marvel series “Cloak & Dagger” and the DC Comics series “Doom Patrol,” will co-lead the coming thriller “Croatoan” with filmmaker Britt Bankhead. The project marks Bankhead’s feature directorial debut.
The cast of “Croatoan” also includes Nico Tirozzi, Grace Patterson and Mike Markoff. Principal photography begins in December in the Dallas-Forth Worth area of Texas.
Bankhead stars in “Croatoan” as a father, whose family road trip leads him to a desolate small town. After his son (Tirozzi) disappears, Bankhead’s character resorts to teaming with two detectives (Mussenden and Patterson) and parsing the community’s oddballs to investigate the local, supernatural legend of “Croatoan.” While plot details around the mystery remain undisclosed, the film’s title has historical significance for being the only complete word found by European visitors to Roanoke Island, who arrived on site to discover that more than 100 English colonists had disappeared to an unknown fate.
