BBC Breakfast bosses order Charlie Stayt to 'get your agent on phone' live on air
by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveBBC Breakfast star Charlie Stayt has been left flustered after the crew were forced to STEP IN and intervene on Saturday morning's live show. BBC presenter Charlie Stayt and Nina Warhurst returned to the studio from 6am on Saturday (November 16).
The pair presented the show from 6am, before Saturday Kitchen, but Charlie was left red-faced after an awkward moment. During th show, Nina asked Charlie if he was looking for a new job. The stand-in presenter, who replaced Naga Munchetty, said: “It’s 12 minutes past 8, now if you are looking for a new job.”
The presenter then turned to her co-host and asked: “Are you looking for a new job?” Charlie looked flustered as he replied saying “I wasn’t expecting that.” Nina, meanwhile, giggled in response as she teased the presenter.

Charlie started to look around the room then turned to weather presenter Simon and asked: “Umm I don’t know, Simon help me, am I looking for a new job?” Simon replied: “I’ve not heard Charlie so just stay right there.”
Nina joked: “I’m just putting it out there, just in case you were.” Charlie asked: “Um should I call someone?" The show crew was forced to step in as someone working in the background shouted: “Get your agent on the phone!”
Last month, Stayt was slammed by fan for taking an 'absolutely disgraceful and embarrassing' swipe at Carol Kirkwood. Naga and the meteorologist discussed a technical glitch on the BBC's weather app which incorrectly showed winds of 13,508mph were set to hit London.
After explaining it was an issue, which IT were trying to fix, Charlie continued to question Carol, which left some viewers fuming. He continued: "Are you going to fix this Carol? This has been going on for many hours now. Is anything actually happening? Are you going to fix it?"
"Of course Charlie! Of course, we are. It is a big problem, it's not just one that can be sorted like that," she replied.
