Davina McCall has shared a health update with fans after her brain tumour surgery. The Big Brother star said she is feeling "stronger and stronger" every day.

The television presenter posted on Instagram revealing that she was still sleeping a lot to recover following the major surgery. It comes after the 57-year-old revealed she was suffering with short term memory problems after the surgery.

In a fresh update, Davina wrote: "Every day I feel stronger and stronger. I just wanted to say thanks for all of you support, it meant the world to me and my family.

"And also to @mdlondon, hes been a complete legend. If he's not with me, he's at work, for his busiest time of year bless him. I'm sleeping loads. Recovery thru sleep.

"I still feel so lucky. Grateful. Blessed."

She added: "My short term memory is improving a lot every day, and it has been an example to me on how much sleep helps me recover from everything.

"So if I feel a bit confused or I'm struggling to concentrate I just go to sleep and I wake up completely renewed and refreshed."

Davina revealed she was going in for surgery earlier this month in a post that shocked fans. She revealed that she had been diagnosed with a type of benign tumour called a colloid cyst.

A benign tumour is not cancerous, but such cysts tend to grow slowly, according to the Brainstrust charity. When she first shared her diagnosis, she said chances of having it were "three in a million".

Davina only discovered she had it several months previously after a company offered her a health scan in return for giving a menopause talk.

After the operation, she shared how it had affected her memory. She wrote: "My short-term memory is a bit remiss. But that is something I can work on, so I'm really happy about that. I'm writing everything down, to keep myself feeling safe."
