Married At First Sight's Adam says scenes were cut before brutal sex comment
by Katy Hallam, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/katy-hallam/ · Birmingham LiveMarried At First Sight groom Adam Nightingale has expressed his dissatisfaction with 'editing' on the E4 show after his blunt comment about his sex life. The 35 year old barber and his 28 year old career advisor partner Polly Sellman decided to part ways on Tuesday, after choosing not to reaffirm their commitment during the Final Vows episode.
On Wednesday's reunion episode, an incensed Polly threw a glass of red wine over her ex. Tensions had been growing between the pair as Adam called her out in front of the group for sharing screenshots of his Instagram posts and calling him 'embarassing' in group chats. As they argued about their relationship, Adam told the group: "We had sex three times in 10 weeks."
He then imitated comments he claimed she had made to him in bed. Polly screamed back: "F*** you," whilst covering him with red wine. Following the uproar, Adam, who hails from Nottingham, took to Instagram hinting that there was additional context to his sex life comment that wasn't shown to the audience.

He shared a screenshot of himself looking unimpressed at the MAFS reunion dinner table with the caption: "I was so drunk think we all seen the eyes. Edit made it look like I said the sex comment out of nowhere
"But I got accused of using her for sex and leading her on ... to the point Holly stuck up for me and said 'no he didn't, you just said you just wanted sex and you'd have been happy' or something along those lines."
Adam added: "If only people knew what else happened on tonight's episodes." He confessed that he "finally took the bait" following Polly's barrage of negative comments and commented: "But if I did this ... my God."
He also poked fun at the moment - which has since become an internet sensation - posting on his account: "I love red wine me!"
