ITV I'm A Celeb accused of 'shameless' act just days into new series

Fans of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! have accused the show of 'shamelessly' plugging Amazon in their latest episode. It comes as the campmates were gifted their luxury items just days into the new ITV series.

Danny Jones and Alan Halsall were given the challenge of being able to win the group's items on Tuesday night's show. As the pair arrived at the Jungle Delivery Centre, they were asked to answer questions about the other contestants.

During the challenge, the items were packaged in an unmarked box bearing just the celebrity's name. But when they arrived back in camp the package was clearly an Amazon delivery box.

POLL: Do you agree with the DWP taking money from bank accounts or wages?

Jane Moore shouted: “He's carrying an Amazon box!” Viewers were quick to comment on the unusual jungle sight. Someone asked: “Is I'm A Celebrity now sponsored by Amazon?” One person said: “'Does anyone remember the product placement warning at the beginning of the show? Why is Amazon getting a massive plug?”

Another added: “Anyone else notice the incredibly subtle #Amazon product placement?” “Luxury items already?" another asked as it is only four days into the new series. They continued: "It gets earlier every year #ImACeleb."

One person penned: “It will be letters from home tomorrow #ImACeleb." Another suggested: “They’ve only been in there ten minutes ffs. Everything seems very rushed this year #ImACeleb.” (sic)

The celebrities found out that their luxury items had been chosen by their loved ones at home, GBNews reports. Coleen Rooney was given a personalised pillow with a photo of her husband Wayne and four sons on it. Halsall was left bemused by his golf putter.
