BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty issued a spoiler alert to viewers, advising them to 'leave the room'. The 49 year old TV star returned to our screens on Saturday morning, co-hosting with Charlie Stayt.

The conversation quickly turned to last night's Celebrity MasterChef final. The winner of the BBC cooking competition was about to join the presenters, but Naga advised viewers who hadn't seen the show to 'turn the telly down' to avoid spoilers.

Naga continued: "If you are a fan of Celebrity Masterchef and you didn't watch last night's final this is your warning to look away, leave the room and turn the telly down because after six weeks the winner."

She then paused dramatically before revealing: "I'm about to say it, the winner was Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola, who wowed the judges with his Italian dish."

The audience was then shown the emotional moment when Vito was declared the winner after the tense final. The dancer triumphed over Line Of Duty's Rochenda Sandall and This Morning's Craig Doyle, reports the Express.

Charlie began by saying: "Can we first of all say congratulations. How does it feel? " An ecstatic Vito, unable to hide his joy, responded: "Thank you so much, I feel like when you're a kid and you have all the butterflies in your stomach and that's how I felt the entire MasterChef journey."

Vito shared his excitement and emotion about the competition, saying: "Every night before every challenge I couldn't sleep because I was so excited and that is me today and I feel like in a good way overwhelmed and I get emotional every single time, it feels like a dream. Sometimes I pinch myself because it's just amazing."

Holding his trophy proudly, Vito disclosed his plans for its future home: "For now it's here but because I have my brother and my cousin here with me, I will give it to them because it deserves to be with my family in Italy. So it's going to go all the way to Italy and probably stay at my grandparents house."

Despite bringing a unique flair to his cooking in the final, Vito confessed that his family has always been sceptical of his culinary skills.

He concluded with a personal anecdote about his grandmother: "I made a deal with my grandmother and she said if I'm going on the show to make her proud she will allow me to cook one meal next Christmas."
