Eamonn Holmes 'reaches out' to Ruth Langsford for first time since split
by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveEamonn Holmes has reportedly reached out to Ruth Langsford - as the ITV This Loose Women star revealed health update on her elderly mum who is in hospital. Eamonn recently sparked engagement rumours with his new girlfriend.
Ruth, 64, shared pictures of her beloved mum Joan in hospital after a recent fall - holding her hand in bed. Ruth and Eamonn, who used to host ITV This Morning before being replaced by Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond, split in May after 14 years of marriage.
Ruth shared an update on her 93-year-old mother writing: “Hospital visit… thank you all so much for your lovely messages and well wishes for my darling Mum. She’ll be in hospital for a bit longer yet, but she’s in pretty good spirits considering and I hope she’ll be home for Christmas.”

The poignant picture was 'liked' by ex-husband Eamonn. The couple's status was rocked in 2020 when they were brutally axed from This Morning. While Ruth stayed with their former employer as part of the Loose Women team, Eamonn took a different approach and made a series of bitter swipes at his old bosses after moving to GB News.
Eamonn claimed he was sacked from his long-standing role 'without warning' and claimed ITV chiefs were 'never kind' to him. "They tossed me out of the door and didn't care where I was going," Eamonn said at the time, in a scathing blast.
In recent years, the 64-year-old has juggled his TV work alongside his battle with chronic pain and has been pictured in a wheelchair and on crutches as his health has deteriorated. This week Ruth spoke about the impact of Eamonn's health crisis on their marriage for the first time.
Speaking to Woman’s Weekly, Ruth admitted it had been a 'testing time' for their family. "I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope," she said in the awkwardly-timed chat.
