Liam Payne's psychiatrist issued chilling warning before death

by · Birmingham Live

Liam Payne received a stark warning from his doctor before his untimely demise. Last month, the former One Direction died at the age of 31.

Liam was in Buenos Aires on holiday with his partner Kate Cassidy when he had a fatal fall from a hotel's third floor. An autopsy concluded that Liam died immediately from "multiple traumatic injuries" leading to "internal and external haemorrhage."

The exact circumstances surrounding the tragedy, however, are still unclear to Argentine officials. On Tuesday, new developments came to light, revealing that local authorities are investigating five individuals after two more hotel employees were implicated in the case.

Among the newly scrutinised is a chief receptionist who had made an emergency call for Liam and was seen assisting him to his room before the incident. Also under examination is the hotel's security head, reports the Mirror.

Meanwhile, CCTV footage of the fateful incident is set to be analysed eight weeks post-event, which might shed light on the moments leading to Liam's fall. Previously unexamined, this evidence could provide crucial insights into the case.

New reports have emerged suggesting that Liam's neuropsychiatrist was unable to continue treating the star, according to a note sent to his friend Roger Nores. The note, dispatched just weeks before Liam's tragic demise, indicated that his treatment could no longer proceed and warned of the lethal consequences of mixing alcohol with antidepressants.

This revelation came to light after Liam's father, Geoff Payne, reportedly contacted the Argentinian courts regarding the note. The NHS website advises those on antidepressants to exercise caution when consuming alcohol, labelling it as a "depressant" that could exacerbate symptoms.

"You're less likely to experience unpleasant or unpredictable effects if you drink alcohol while taking an SSRI or a serotonin-noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) antidepressant, but avoiding alcohol is often still recommended," it states. Furthermore, individuals taking certain types of antidepressants such as tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) or monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) may experience drowsiness or dizziness.

In the months leading up to his death, Liam had courageously checked into rehab in an attempt to conquer his addictions. The global superstar had previously been candid about his struggles and had confided in former Top Gear host, Paddy McGuinness, about his addictions.

It was previously reported that the 'Teardrops' singer had checked into The Priory in London, which costs £5,000 per night, and had begun a detox programme.

On November 7, an announcement from the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office revealed that toxicological results shared with the singer's family indicated traces of "alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants" in his body. The statement explained: "This conclusion was reached after the complete toxicology tests on urine, blood and vitreous humor."
