BBC EastEnders fans worry star's side project will see him leave soap
by Kelly Ashmore, Joel Leaver, https://www.facebook.com/theblackcountrylive/ · Birmingham LiveSoap fans were worried an actor's side projects spelled the end for his time in EastEnders. Speculation has been mounting about James Farrar's future on the BBC show.
The 37-year-old has played Zack Hudson since 2021, but is also a personal trainer alongside being an actor. Alongside his wife, Ali Roff Farrar, James also runs the wellness retreat brand Remedy.
Their next session, which they have been promoting in recent weeks, will be held at Bonington Farm in Loughborough. Running from January 24 to 27, guests will be treated to fitness classes from James, and yoga and mediation led by Ali, the Mirror reports.

Promotional post on James' Instagram page has been met with some concern from his followers, who were worried he may leave EastEnders. One wrote: "Your life looks so relaxing and fun. Love seeing your posts. I hope you ain't leaving Eastenders any time soon - you're the new eye candy since Gray went."
The comment was 'liked' by James - and while he didn't directly address his career choices, he responded to them with an 'okay hand' emoji. According to the Sun, they weren't the only fan to pose the question - but he has asserted that he remains an actor, alongside his other jobs.
In one post promoting the retreat recently, he wrote: "Actor. Model. Personal trainer. That's my career, but I like to think it doesn't define me." James has already confirmed he would remain on EastEnders next year.
He teased an upcoming storyline when he spoke to the Mirror at the Inside Soap Awards in October, and said: "There is something really exciting coming up next year that nobody really knows about yet. It keeps me going into work every day... I'm buzzing for it to start. It is just starting around now."
