I'm a Celebrity contestant Tulisa Contostavlos has surprised fans by disclosing her actual name is not 'Tulisa'. The 36 year old N-Dubz sensation, made the revelation about her birth name just before jetting off to the jungle.

Although she's been known solely as Tulisa since rising to fame in band N-Dubz in 2007, she confessed it's not her true moniker on Olivia Attwood's So Wrong It's Right podcast. The musician and previous X Factor panelist disclosed that she's really called Tula.

When Olivia questioned, "Tulisa is not your actual name?", the reply was: "No, it isn't. You're the first person to bring that up ever. I love that. Fresh energy!"

A pleased Olivia responded: "It's Tula? " In a Greek accent, Tulisa said: "Tula. My grandmother is also called Tula, so I was named after her."

She elaborated that 'Tulisa' means 'tiny Tula' in Greek due to her half-Greek heritage, and the British pronunciation becomes 'Tu-lisaa'. To which Olivia cheekily remarked: "We just butcher it!"

Tulisa fondly recounted: "Yeah, so that ended up being my nickname anyway growing up in Greek." N-Dubz was formed by Tulisa with her cousin Dappy and his best mate Fazer when they were merely 11 years old, achieving mass appeal seven years later.

At the tender age of 22, in 2011 and 2012, Tulisa secured a position as a judge on The X Factor. However, her name was consistently pronounced as 'Tulisa' each week as the show was broadcasted to millions.
