'RIP Mini' - Tributes to man 'with heart of gold' stabbed to death on Birmingham street

Flowers were left at Medway Grove in Kings Norton after the tragedy at around 10am, yesterday, Tuesday, November 5. Police officers had attempted to keep the man alive after he was found with serious injuries. Paramedics were unable to save him and he died at the scene.
Police launched a murder probe, although no arrests have yet been made. Tributes have been posted on Facebook following the death of the man, who was yet to be named officially. A number of social media users offered tributes and posted RIP messages about "Mini" and "Minister."

One wrote: "So sad RIP mini my deepest sympathy to ur family." Another said: "Rip mini I acc can’t believe this is actually real was such a nice lad." A different user posted: "RIP minister heart of gold." Another user said: "R.I.P forever young thoughts go out to ya family and friends bro fly high much love." Another added: "Long live mini the good go young."
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: "We were called to a stabbing on Medway Grove, Kings Norton at 10.08am. We sent two ambulances, three paramedic officers and the WMAS Critical Care Car to the scene. Upon arrival crews found a man who was being cared for by police. Crews immediately began administering advanced trauma care, however, sadly despite best efforts nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
Police said yesterday: "We've started a murder investigation after a man was found with serious injuries in Kings Norton. We were called to Medway Grove, at 10.05am today (5 Nov). A man was discovered seriously injured and sadly nothing could be done to save him. We're currently working to establish exactly what happened and who was involved.
"We're reviewing CCTV and carrying out house-to-house enquiries as we investigate. A scene is currently in place.
