Sutton Coldfield road closed as emergency services at multiple vehicle crash

Emergency services are at the scene of a crash involving multiple vehicles in Sutton Coldfield tonight. Part of Walsall Road in Four Oaks has been sealed off.

Police are at the scene, which has been cordoned off at the junction of Crown Lane outside The Crown pub. A source said three vehicles were believed to have been involved, adding a car with a crumpled bonnet was inside the scene.

They added: "There is a double decker bus with all its lights off just outside the cordon on one side and a single decker 6 service on the other."

Drivers are said to be using the car park of The Crown pub to divert around the scene. Bus services have also been diverted in the area.

NX West Midlands shared on X: "Due to an accident on Walsall Road #SuttonColdfield Service 6 is diverting in both directions via: Rosemary Hill Road, Streetly Lane. Apologies for any disruption to your journey."
