ITV James Martin Saturday Morning viewers have hit out at an "annoying" guest after Saturday's show. ITV viewers tuning into see James' show were reflecting on Lucy Beaumont's appearance during Saturday morning when they took issue with the interview.

A Twitter/X user said: "quite annoying that “comedienne” Lucy Beaumont makes a living out of peddling the notion, Northerners are a little bit thick and Southerners have arrived and are so sophisticated." They added: "Its not the Victorian era anymore"

Defending Lucy, a second said: "@LucyABeaumont just watched James Martin show this morning got to say you have a great sense of humour." Another laughed: ""Why can't you recite Shakespeare with a Hull accent? @LucyABeaumont #SaturdayKitchen""

"She's not on Saturday Kitchen on BBC1, she's on Saturday Morning on ITV with James Martin!" they replied. "Lord she’s annoying! Far too annoying for 10am on a Saturday #jamesmartin #notevenfunny #boringguest" another wrote.

Another said: "Is she trying to be funny? I don't get it... cringing tho." The Twitter user said: "Just tragic isn’t it! Tumbleweed when she asked about the chicken goujons!" Although her career may be going from strength to strength, the same can't be said for Lucy's personal life.

The comedian announced her separation from fellow comedian and husband Jon Richardson in April this year following nine years of marriage. The pair are parents to daughter Elsie Louise, seven, who was born back in September 2016.

The show promotes its recipes via pictures on Twitter, and one today was captioned: "Red Mullet and Squid with Broccolini, Ponzu and Cashews. The ponzu dressing is a deeply savoury mix of black garlic, umami-rich miso paste, fragrant yuzu, soy sauce, fresh lime, and chives."

A second typed: "Plaice, Dhal and Onion Bhaji! The dhal includes flavours of onion, ginger, garlic, turmeric, coriander, garam masala, lentils and curry leaves. Combined with the delicate plaice and the light, crispy onion bhajis, this is a fabulous feast for two!"
