Welsh crooner Tom Jones has one big plan for his funeral already in place. The Voice mentor is still going strong aged 84, and has no plans to stop performing.

But he has made a pact over his funeral for when the time comes. His long-time friend comedian Jimmy Tarbuck revealed earlier this year that the pair entered into a pact that when one of them passes away, the other will perform at their funeral.

The Scouse entertainer and Welsh pop icon have been friends for around 50 years. Now both aged 84, they've decided to make arrangements for their final farewells.

Jimmy told The Mirror: "Tom and I have made a secret pact. If I go first, he's going to sing at my funeral and if he goes first, then I am going to sing at his."

"He is a great friend and is still the best singer of them all today. He still gets women throwing their knickers at him. What will I get thrown at me if I sing at his funeral?

"Probably bottles of beer. But I'll just say 'Thank you very much' and drink them."

Jimmy also spoke about how Tom had helped him through difficult times in recent years. The entertainer was diagnosed with prostate cancer four years ago.

He said: "I feel OK and I want to carry on performing. And Tom has been like a mentor, helping me throughout.

"We have such lovely memories together. He took me over to America all those years ago and I stayed with him in his house in California. He opened many, many doors for me because it was his Las Vegas days."

Tom previously revealed another detail of his funeral when the time comes. He wants ‘Great Balls Of Fire’ by Jerry Lee Lewis played.

He told NME: “It’s always been a favourite of mine. If someone wants me to sing something, I’ve always said: ‘If in doubt, do ‘Great Balls Of Fire’. But at my funeral, I’d have to play the original 1957 version released on Sun Records.”
