BBC Breakfast's Jon Kay makes huge Trump rally blunder leaving viewers gobsmacked

by · Birmingham Live

BBC News viewers were all saying the same thing after Jon Kay made a significant gaffe while talking about the Trump rallies. The BBC Breakfast presenter, aged 54, had travelled to Washington DC earlier in the week to provide exclusive coverage of the pivotal election, with Democratic Vice-President Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump vying for the presidency.

Before Trump declared what he called a "magnificent victory for the American people" in the election, Kay mentioned that BBC News reporter Gary O'Donoghue was reporting live from the Trump rally. Yet, the BBC anchor seemed distracted as he mistakenly referred to it as a "tramp rally".

Social media users quickly noticed the error and took to their platforms to comment, with one stating: "BBC just called the trump rally a 'tramp' rally. 4 years of liberal fume."

"Did you listen to the Freudian slip the BBC just made? Called it a Tramp rally instead of a Trump rally," another chimed in, with someone else concurring: "LMFAOOOO NO WAY A BBC REPORTER JUST MESSED UP AND CALLED TRUMP TRAMP."

A third echoed the sentiment: "BBC Freudian Slip there 'We return to the Tramp...eh Trump HQ.'" Another viewer suggested: "BBC started to insult Donald Trump."

And yet another added: "BBC News called Trump a tramp by accident they're so real."
