by Annabal Bagdi, Zoe Delaney, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/annabal-bagdi/ · Birmingham LiveFearne Cotton has revealed that she is set to have an operation to remove two benign tumours from her jaw. The podcast host said medics found the tumours after she noticed a lump under her ear and on her jawline.
The mum-of-two said she now needs hospital treatment and would be 'out of action' for some time post-surgery. But she insisted she was 'feeling positive' despite her health news.
It comes just weeks after friend Davina McCall publicly sharing a similar health ordeal. Former Big Brother presenter Davina recently underwent a six-hour operation to remove a benign brain tumour.

In a video posted to her Instagram, Fearne told her 3.9million followers: "I’ve got a benign tumour just in my jaw here, below my ear, another little tiny one above it. I’m very grateful they’re benign but they do need to come out because they’re on a nerve.
"So I’m gonna have that surgery, and then I’m gonna be resting to get better before Christmas. Not very good at resting, so wondering how that’s gonna go. But I’m feeling okay about it. I’m going into the operation feeling good and well."
She said her podcast Happy Place will carry on as normal, Mirror reports.Fearne captioned the video: "Hey gang. I'm going to be out of action for a bit due to a surgery.
"I felt a lump under my ear on my jawline a while ago now but this year noticed it was growing. Turns out it's a benign tumour and another small one above it on the saliva gland.
"I'm feeling positive about it all and will take the opportunity to rest and slow right down. If you feel a lump or bump or feel like something is a bit off, always go get it checked.
"I'm so glad I did as the longer you leave these things the more complicated things become. It's obviously so weird that only a couple of months ago Davina told me about her tumour and then weeks later I was calling her having discovered mine.
"I'm not only lucky she's a bloody good mate but also a beacon of light and positivity when it comes to this stuff. Sending you all loads of love and I'll see you soon."
TV presenter Davina was one of the first to comment, telling Fearne: "Sending you so much healing and love can’t wait to give you a huge gentle cuddle." BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball added: "oh darling girl. be brave as and know you'll be well looked after. all my love x."
Davina gave fans an update on her recovery after her surgery. The My Mum, Your Dad presenter, 57, faced surgery earlier this month to get rid of a 14mm growth.
It was discovered during a routine scan she had while speaking at a menopause event. Now recuperating at home, Davina said: "Hi, I thought I'd do a little catch-up post, and I'm gonna out my surgeon.
"He is called Kevin O'Neill and he has been amazing. Obviously, trying to find somebody that knew about colloid cysts and stuff was quite a challenge, and Kevin is very experienced as a neurosurgeon, and he done another colloid cyst this year and he has been brilliant.
"He got the whole thing and I know I gave him and Michael a bit of a scare straight after the op because I was so confused, but I am doing so well now. I just wanted to thank him and all the team for taking such really really good care of me thank you. And, yeah I'm gonna take you and your Mrs out for an amazing dinner Kevin."
