by Katy Hallam, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/katy-hallam/, Millie Bull · Birmingham LiveAmanda Holden has been a familiar face on our screens for many a year, with acting roles in series like Wild at Heart, The Grimleys, and Cutting It. She's also taken the helm of various TV programmes, including stints on ITV's This Morning, Superstar, and Give a Pet a Home.
Yet, it's her stint as a judge on Britain's Got Talent, where she stars alongside Simon Cowell, that has cemented her status as a household name. Off-screen, Amanda, 53, enjoys a more serene existence in the quaint village of Cobham, nestled within Surrey's Elmbridge district.
In November, she made the move from South London to this posh locale with her husband, music producer Chris Hughes, and their two daughters. Their new Surrey abode, which set them back a cool £7million, has undergone extensive renovations to transform it into Amanda's "dream home".

Inspired by the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, Amanda has even introduced a touch of California to Surrey, planting two palm trees in her garden. Speaking to MailOnline, she shared her enthusiasm: "This is my dream home. My entire life I have wanted the dream home, and you know you do the stepping up and now I've finally got it.", reports the Express.
She went on to say, "It was the perfect house, and most people would have probably moved in and kept it the same, but it was a very pale, white and grey house and it's not like that anymore."
Her vision for her home is clear: "I am turning it into the Beverly Hills Hotel, that's my aim. I have just planted two palm trees in the garden, which makes me feel so happy."
Elmbridge, a popular residence for celebrities such as Cliff Richard and Kate Winslet, and formerly home to music legends Elton John and Rolling Stones' guitarist Ron Wood, boasts some of the most exclusive estates in the country.
