BBC Strictly Come Dancing star addresses leaving show for good and says fans are 'expecting it'
by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveA BBC Strictly Come Dancing star has addresses leaving the show for good - saying fans are "expecting it". Wynne Evans, the crooner behind the GoCompare adverts, has discussed being left in the dance off on the BBC show last Saturday.
Wynne and Katya Jones, his Strictly Come Dancing pro partner, appeared on It Takes Two on Thursday night (December 14). "Do you know what? I don't want to make light of being in the dance-off because nobody really wants to be in the dance-off," he said.
"But as I said, on the night I expected to go on week one, pretty much. And so, since the first elimination, we have just been going, 'Do you know what? This could be our last dance on Strictly, so let's just get out there and have fun'."

He added: "And so you kind of expecting it at some point during the programme, so it was just one of those things, and we were like, really cool about it." Katya said: "You were so calm and collected about it, and the competition is strong, and like I said, in my opinion, and the judges noticed the footwork, the frame, the skill that you picked up."
"To me, it was one of your best dances because you're the best," she said. The night before, on November 13, viewers were expecting to see Wynne, 52, and his professional partner Katya on the spin-off show. However, minutes into the programme, host Janette Manrara informed fans this wouldn't be the case.
Despite Fleur East confirming that Wynne was expected to appear on It Takes Two on Wednesday, it seems that there was a last-minute change. Janette said: "If you've got any questions like, 'Why are Chris and Dianne on when yesterday we said it was going to be Wynne and Katya?'
"It's live TV, guys. You've got to roll with it, alright? Just roll with it."
