Sam Thompson makes savage swipe at I'm A Celeb's GK Barry as fans predict early exit

Former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! champion Sam Thompson took a brutal dig at contestant GK Barry on the spin-off show last night. Just one day into the new series, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, fans are already predicting an early departure for GK Barry following her tearful reaction to a challenge.

However, things could get worse as she's now set to face the first solo trial. Despite putting on a brave face when Ant and Dec announced she'd be taking on the challenge, she was later seen tearfully asking her campmates what she should expect.

Jane comforted her as GK, whose real name is Grace, began crying out of fear. The first episode saw the ten celebrities compete to become camp leaders, from leaping out of helicopters to fishing for keys in cockroach-infested holes, with Corrie star Alan Halsall and singer Tulisa clinching the title.

This year's spin-off show is hosted by comedian Joel Dommett and last year's winner Sam Thompson. As per tradition, they share juicy gossip, behind-the-scenes footage, and exclusive interviews, reports the Mirror.

Last night, Sam had some harsh words for campmate GK Barry. When asked by Joel how he thinks GK Barry will fare, Sam Thompson responded with a brutal one-word answer: "Terribly", adding: "it's better TV so lets hope she gets minimal stars."

Opinions are split among fans on GK Barry's potential success on the show, with some doubters and others showing support. One social media user stated: "GK Barry won't survive 48 hours the rate she's going."
