ITV This Morning's Alison Hammond has been left red-faced as she issued an apology to a Hollywood star. Alison told viewers they'd be speaking to Hollywood stars Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter about their new show Landman.

But later, while Alison started to introduce the A-list stars, she mispronounced Billy Bob's name. She said: "Now, it doesn't get more star-studded than today on our sofa, does it? Absolutely unbelievable, we're very excited to be joined by Hollywood legends Demi Moore, Job Hamm, Billy Rob Thornton- sorry about that, Bob!"

She laughed: "Great start!" Alison added: "So sorry! Billy Bob, apologies!" It comes hours after The One Show viewers were left baffled by Billy Bob Thornton's 'odd' new look after he made an appearance on the BBC chat show on Thursday (November 7).

The actor, 69, was a guest on the show to chat about his role in the Paramount+ series Landman. Joined by co-star Jon, Billy caught viewers attention by appearing to wear two hats, leading one viewer to note they barely recognised him.

One Twitter/X user typed: "For reference - Billy Bob Thornton; It's official. 69-year-old Billy Bob Thornton so desperately wants to be part of Rock n' Roll." A second typed: "What on earth is Billy Bob Thornton wearing on his head on The One Show? He looks really odd."

"Anyone watching The One Show? What is Billy Bob Thornton wearing?" a third asked. Discussing his role, Billy said: "Landman is certainly, I guess you'd call it a lot of ways the foreman, he deals with all the people in the oil fields, and his boss which is Jon.

"There's a lot of pressure to make sure all of that comes off in a very dangerous world. He's got the weight of the world on his shoulders. Tommy has a sense of humour, but there's a lot of pressure all the time, as John said this is about how you get this oil out of the ground, and how it affects the people around you, your family and friends.

"There's a character, who plays my son who wants to do this and it's lilke telling our children ''don't be an actor'' one way or another, it's a very high pressure job."
